Rhonda Rasmussen Funeral Services Scheduled

Rhonda Sue Ridge Rasmussen, age 44, died at 9:38 AM on September 11, 2001.

Rhonda was born October 18, 1956, in Loma Linda, California. She married Floyd A. Rasmussen in the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on November 23, 1974.

Her joyful active life was marked by her faithful service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Her greatest accomplishment in life was raising four children, and loving and caring for her husband Floyd.

Rhonda followed Floyd, around the world, through 27 moves in the nearly 27 years of their marriage. She lovingly raised her family while also working for the Department of Army, where she received several civilian service awards for her exceptional accomplishments and contributions. She also earned a bachelor's and master's degree in her spare time. Her life was devoted to caring for others and bringing joy and laughter to all who knew her. She is loved by all for her caring nature and her spontaneous and compassionate spirit. Her enthusiasm for life was always evident.

She especially loved her activities in her church Relief Society. She will be missed by the many whose lives she blessed, and her family misses her more than words can express.She is survived by her loving husband Floyd, her sons Nathan, Jeremiah, and Thaddeus, and her daughter Rebekkah. Her mother Aileen Coble of Sugarville, Utah, and three brothers, Gerald Ridge, Larry Ridge, and David Ridge also survives her, and resides in the San Bernardino area.

Her family extends their deep appreciation to those who have helped them in their time of need. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on, September 18, 2001 at the Lake Ridge Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3718 Old Bridge Road, Woodbridge, VA 22192, (703) 730-0180.

Rhonda will be memorialized in Loma Linda and an additional memorial service will also be held on her birthday in San Bernardino, California. Her family is establishing an endowment in her name at Cal State, San Bernardino, where she and Floyd attended classes.
